Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.

Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord, saying, “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”

Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?”

And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man’s whole body well? Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.

In John 5 Jesus defends his ministry by calling on four witnesses.

Jesus is the true light which enlightens everyone and as those who have been illuminated by him, we also bear his light wherever we go.

The cleansing of the Temple was a warning of judgment as well as a prophetic witness to Jesus’ identity.

John the Baptist came to know that Jesus was the Messiah by these three things: the voice, the sign and the Spirit.

In the first few verses of John’s Gospel, we are introduced to Christ as the root, as the word, as the light and as the life.

Four simple lessons here: call on God for deliverance; obey his word; go into the battle with faith; give thanks to Christ before unbelievers.
