The question of ethics is inevitable; no one can escape it since we are communal creatures. By definition, ethics concerns how I live with others. All of us were created for and are born into a family and a society. Cultivating holiness in community is the real challenge. Two extremes we as Christians need to avoid in our approach to God's law are anti-nomianism and legalism.
The Creative All-conditioning Word
Christ establishes his new covenant community, where fellowship, communication and the meaning of all things is in and through the Word of life.
The All-Personal Word
Because of our moral rebellion against God, since the Fall, men and women have sought to establish their own word, their own truth outside of God.
The Word of Life and Light
The nonbeliever must deny the infallible God in order to remain his own god, defining right and wrong and truth from falsehood for himself.
