The state is a ministry of justice – God’s diaconate. But how should Christians respond when the state commands what God forbids or forbids what God commands?

The church is the body of God's called-out people, to testify to the reign of Christ over all things, and pastors have a special responsibility to disciple the nations and confront systematic unbelief with systematic belief.

What is the role of the church in society, and how does God expect His church to fulfil that role?

God is Lord over all the earth, and he has given this authority through Christ to the Church. The good news of the gospel is that Christ is seated on the throne now. Our hope is that we have been called according to God's good purposes for time and eternity.
