Since the pandemonium part of the pandemic has passed, a debrief seems timely. There’s opportunity for some introspection, and a dire need to learn from the mistakes made and to bolster ourselves for a better response next time.

The following article was written in December 2020 and initially published at Rebel Alliance Media in January 2021. Over a year later, unlawful freedom-denying mandates continue to be enforced in Ontario and Canada, and the population is receiving daily developments on the Canadian truckers’ Freedom Convoy in Ottawa. Numerous Christians in Canada have begun examining and rehearsing many of these same issues – scores for the first time.

He whom we celebrate as born in the manger is King of kings and Lord of Lords. It is His Word, like a sharp sword wielded through his people, which strikes the nations and subdues them. This Word of the gospel of the birth, death, resurrection, ascension and session of Christ to the seat of all power and authority remains the power of God to salvation for every age.

What is the biblical relationship between church and state, and what should biblical law look like in a new covenant world?

The apostle Paul speaks of the church as a vital body, a chosen family, a temple of living stones and as a betrothed bride. These images reinforce the importance of physical meeting.

The Revoice view of sexuality downplays the dangers of generalized pagan homosexual culture, and creates a third category of human sexuality, denying the biblical, ontological principle of distinctions.

God's people are called not only to personal evangelism and activities within the church institution, we are commissioned to disciple the nations, a holy task that influences all areas of life. 

Youth programs and activities are not sufficient to stem the tide of young people leaving the church. The church's best investment in young adults is to confront difficult questions, preach relevant sermons, and reclaim the sense of God's mission for the church.
